OK. Maaaybe I was falling asleep. Maaaybe I missed the turn - a bit. But, as an old friend used to say, no matter how ya got here, here ya are. AH! Poke. That will work. Waked in and said I had not seen this place before. The server said, we just opened. Perfect timing. I'll have the Hawaiian Special. What can I say? Extra Yummy! If you want greasy burgers, chicken, fries, gooey sweet stuff, or a number 7 sandwich, head down the street. If you want yummy poke, well, no matter how ya get there, there ya are!

This place puts all the local and national chains to shame. Run by a fantastic group of people that I love to see every time I'm there. It's standard buffet-style poke where you decide what you want, but everything always tastes very fresh, and I've never gotten bad fish or crab from them. The rice is always hot and not sticky or overcooked.Bonus points for always looking at my special requests when I put in an UberEATS order. I've never once had them make it wrong when I couldn't make it there in person... although perhaps I just go often enough that they have me memorized! :)The owners also run the fantastic People of the Chubbs food truck, which is worth checking out as well!

Got the slamon. Pretty good if you're looking for a poke bowl. Not the best I've had, like everyone else is saying, but okay. Could do with more options, would prefer options where fish wasn't marinaded yet. More topping options would be great too, especially for the price. I don't know if it was the marinade or fried onions I got, but my bowl was too salty to eat.

I have heard about this place from many friends and my friends and I decided to try it out! We love sushi, so we were very excited to try this place. They only serve poke so they do it like subway style where you get to pick your base, your poke, your sides, your toppings and the dressing. Toppings are unlimited. Sides and avocados are $1 extra each. Here are the options Base-white rice, brown rice or chips (I think they were tortilla chips) Poke-spicy tuna, salmon, tuna and tako (octopus) you can pick 2 and do half and half Sides-cucumber salad, seaweed salad (maybe there was more but I don't remember) Toppings-cucumber, avocado, fish roe (I'm pretty sure there were more)

Just back from the islands or just need a fresh alternative? This is a great place for Poke. Plenty of fresh choices and sides. Loved it.

It's easy to miss when driving. Small seating area inside. They had four, more traditional poke options that were pretty good. Doesn't quite compare to the poke we had living on the Big Island but they are true to what poke should be and the fish quality was good. More authentic than other spots in the area.

We have been wanting to come here since we moved to Renton, but we ordered the salmon bowl and it was so "fishy" tasting that we couldn't finish the meal. Super disappointing, maybe we'll come back some day and try again.

I prefer the poke here compared to other poke places since this place just feels so much more friendly and comfortable. The staff were super nice to me, and it's just a great place to casually sit down in and eat poke. Best poke place for getting comfort food. The bowls they use here are also really nice, and come with lids.

I’ve eaten their poke a handful of times and I’ve loved every bite. I always get tuna, seaweed salad, and sometimes salmon. The staff is super chill and I love that they’re locals. The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because I haven’t been to this location in a while.

Legit spot in the south end for Poke. The prices are pretty on par with what others sell poke bowls for, maybe a hair more expensive but to not have to drive into Seattle to get some poke makes it worth the extra monies. I've had better in terms of freshness of fish - but Big Island will hold it down with the best and rest of them. The portions are there and when you get a bit of everything on there it'll curb the biggest hungers you have.

Great ingredients and as a Poke lover, this place is a gem here in Renton. The food you eat here not only nourishes your belly but also the body in general. I respect the chef's planning of the menu but poke is always fun customized. Its Poke after all! Go here and nourish yourself.

Best Poke Joint Ever!!! Me and my wife went to Maui for our honeymoon and we went to quite a few poke places looking for something as good as Big Island Poke and the truth is, we couldnt find not a single one that tasted even as close to as good as these guys. This is officially my all time favorite place to eat!!!

This place is great! As a comparison, it a little more expensive than Just Poke and the options are a little more limited but the portions seem much larger and I'm all for supporting a small, local business. The food is incredible and fresh. I'm originally from Maui so this place definitely had a sense of Hawaii in it. Cant recommend enough.

An inexpensive build-your-own poke bowl in a convenient location? Where on earth have you been all my life? For those pop-up occasions where you want more substance to go with your poke, look no further than Big Island Poke. It won't be cheaper than buying the poke and side ingredients in bulk, cooking the rice yourself, then packing it all in your lunchbox, but the trade-off in convenience is more than worth it. And let's face it; if you're making your own poke bentos you're probably a serious poke fan who likes to do things your own way any way. For the more casual among us there's always Big Island Poke for all your fresh poke needs.Pros+ Convenient location and concept+ Tasty and fresh+ Simple concept with an uncluttered menuSo-sos= You pay for the convenience (but not excessively)Cons- They can run out of stuff sometimes :(

The fish was extremely fresh and completely melt in your mouth. It can get kind of pricey with the add-ons where at other places you can get them for free. However, the quality blew my mind! Top 3 in the greater Seattle area for sure.

Pretty good poke place. Large portions but a little bit more on the expensive side. Their fish is premixed in sauce and they don't have a single poke sauce like other places I've been. Overall good but it's not poke like I expect. I would come back but i wouldn't say this is the best poke place I've been to.
